Helpful Resources For AP Testing
The College Board and Princeton Review are both companies that can help the studying process for AP tests.
The Princeton Review is a company that has studying materials such as books, practice questions and tests, and tutoring.
“Princeton Review is one review that is put out that is geared towards AP classes in the way of additional preparation before you get ready to take the test,” AP Human Geography teacher Jeremiah Rush said.
On the other hand, the College Board is a behind the scenes program that runs these exams.
“So, College Board is apart of ETS, which is overall a company that controls and administers the SAT and some other testing. So College Board is really focused on the advanced placement portions of what ETS does,” Rush said.
Many students take advantage of these resources, especially the Princeton Review, to help them study and prepare more thoroughly.
“I think that the college review books like the Princeton Review have a lot of information that we don’t necessarily miss but that we skip over due to time so it helps,” Senior Izzie Cioraneanu said.
The Princeton Review is set up so that students can follow it along with the classes they are taking.
“The way that I recommend and the way that I usually do it is that I follow the Princeton Review along with what were doing in class so its easier and then at the end of the year I’ll just do a final review of the book,” Izzie said.
Whether it be following along with the curriculum in class or studying on your own, both the College Board and Princeton Review can be very helpful resources.
