From paying homage to iconic characters to making famous pop culture references, celebrities never fail to amaze (or shock) fans with their Halloween costumes. This year is no exception with celebrities wearing even more intricate and outlandish outfits than ever before.

Knight News gathered the top 10 best celebrity Halloween costumes of 2022…

This fall, Kylie Jenner referenced the movie, “The Bride of Frankenstein.”  The media star’s crimped hair and jaw-dropping poses perfectly captured the essence of Frankenstein’s wife, Elizabeth, and secured her costume as this year’s best.

Traditionally, Ariana Grande and Liz Gillies make an annual video reenacting iconic movie scenes. This year the singer and actor decided to recreate a scene from “Best in Show”, with Gillies as Christy Cummings, and Grande as Sherri Ann Cabot. The unique concept paired with the brilliant execution of the video made this costume a close second.

Heidi Klum is notorious in Hollywood for her yearly Halloween party and her eccentric costumes. While most celebrities adopted a pretty look, the model went all out as a prosthetic worm. Klum’s intense dedication, bold concept, and attention to detail in her look make her rightfully third on our list.

Although lesser known, Latto, a rapper, beautifully executed her role as Victoria from “The Corpse Bride”. Despite being basic, Latto’s Tim Burton-esque makeup and her gorgeous dress deserved recognition. The rapper’s skeleton visual effects in her Instagram post also add to the character’s design.

Lili Reinhart, Madelaine Petsch, and Camila Mendez took inspiration from the movie “Hocus Pocus”. This classic “Riverdale” trio is specifically dressed as the Sanderson sisters, with Reinhart as Sarah, Petsch as Winifred, and Mendez as Mary. Not only do these actors look identical to their characters, but they also added a cute modern twist with corsets and pretty makeup to make their looks both accurate and trendy.

A staple Halloween costume is dressing up as a superhero or comic book character. Media star, Kim Kardashian, followed this trend by dressing up as Mystique, otherwise known as Raven, from “X-Men”. Kardashian’s look is detailed and is the most identical replication I have ever seen. Her slicked-back red hair and scaly makeup pull the costume together to make her an almost perfect copy of the original character.

Paris Hilton dressed up as the popular anime character, Sailor Moon from “Sailor Moon”. Not only was the model’s costume adorable with her frilly skirt and ginormous bow, but she also added diamonds and studs to the costume which made it stand apart from a simple Halloween look.

Despite being a simple look compared to previous years, Kendall Jenner’s costume as Jesse from “Toy Story” was flawless. With the red braids and the cowboy hat, this outfit perfectly suited the model’s style and was an amazing balance of her original vibe and the character’s outfit
